Veteran's of Foreign Wars   Military Order of the Cootie     Designated as the Honor Degree of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, the Military Order of the Cootie is a subordinate order of the parent organization composed exclusively of VFW members in good standing.  The MOC, established in 1921 for the primary purpose of creating a "fun degree" within the parent body, is also dedicated to serious purposes.  Organized in nearly every department as Grand Pup Tents with local Pup Tent units, the Cootie sponsor a continuous program of hospital work and visitations.   The objectives of MOC is to have clean fun, harmless frolic, good comradeship and a desire to increase our circle of friends in the VFW and the MOC service to the VFW.  At all times neat appearance, conduct becoming a Cootie and a gentleman, while in public and at VFW and MOC activities, to promote social and reunion features among its own members and to keep alive the sprit of optimism and humor which is so characteristic of the American service men and women.   PUP TENT SHAVETAILS 07-08 Seam Squirrel "Shorty" Lyons Sixth time!
